The Swallow's Compass

Level 70, ilvl 330

Yanxia (X:11.7, Y:26.9, Z:0.7)

Tortoise in Time

Chiseled into the great wall which cuts across the plains of Yanxia, between two of the Dairyu Moon Gates, is the visage of Ganen, the legendary hero who united Doma. The first king of the new kingdom was not only a military genius, but also the founder of geomancy, and so after his death this royal mausoleum became a holy place to which his disciples would make pilgrimage. Alas, following the imperial invasion, it was abandoned and fell into disrepair, and none can say for certain what dangers lie within. Regardless, if Soroban's rigorous training under Genbu is to continue, you and your comrades must venture into these hallowed halls and obtain the tamate-bako of geomancy, an ancient relic with the power to manipulate time itself...

The abilities of the Tengu include the Clout of the Tengu, which is a large area of effect centered around Otengu, and the Yama-kagura, which is a medium width line area of effect directed at a player other than the tank. The Wile of the Tengu is an eye-themed ability where looking away from Otengu will avoid its effect, but not doing so will apply the Hysteria debuff. The Tengu Ember ability will cause a number of Tengu Embers to appear and move around the arena. Players hit by an ember will suffer minor damage and a debuff stack of Suppuration, which reduces maximum HP and increases damage taken. After some time, the remaining embers will explode in medium-sized area of effects. Lastly, the Might of the Tengu is a tank buster ability.

Abilities in this fight do not have a castbar, so players should pay attention to the messages that appear on the screen. One ability called "Daidarabotchi is gathering aetherial energy" involves the boss raising one of its arms and slamming it down on the ground. If a player is hit by this attack, they will take medium damage and receive a debuff stack called "Vulnerability Up." It is advised to avoid standing on the boss's side when this ability is being used. Another ability called "The Land take You, Claim You!" is an area-of-effect (AOE) attack that will follow the marked player. "Swallow You, Consume You!" is an ability where the boss hits the ground with its fist, creating a circular AOE in the center of the area that resembles a shimmering lake. Over time, the lake will expand and cover approximately 75% of the area before disappearing. Lastly, "Mountain Falls" is a blue AOE attack that appears as a blue water drop on top of a player and will deal damage after a short delay.

Qitian Dasheng

Abilities: The Short End is a tankbuster. Both Ends has two variations: one with a normal weapon raised, creating a medium AOE and knocking players back into a debuff area, applying Bleeding and Vulnerability Up, and the other with an enlarged weapon lowered, creating a safe zone near the boss. In short, stay away from the boss with the normal weapon and stay near the boss with the enlarged, electrified weapon. Mount Huaguo is an area-wide medium AOE. Monkey Magicks is an ADD phase where all Servants of the Sage must be killed before the meter is fully charged. Second Heaven is the ultimate attack that depends on the charge of the Monkey Magicks meter. Splitting Hairs causes Qitian Dasheng to split into two Shadow of the Sage mobs, both of which must be killed to end the fight. If only one is killed, the remaining one will split again. Servants of the Sage spawn during the Monkey Magicks phase and frequently use an AOE. Shadow of the Sage are lesser copies of Qitian Dasheng with the same abilities and share the health pool of the original boss.
