The Path of the Righteous

The landscape of Eorzea has undergone a great many changes in the wake of the Calamity, giving way to anomalies heretofore unseen. The great ice wall, Snowcloak, is one such construct molded in the aftermath of Bahamut’s rampage. Once thought to be impassable, recent reports tell of a network of tunnels piercing through the heart of this crystalline impasse. Duty demands these passageways be investigated, but woe unto he who finds their creator.

Bosses

Wandil

Wandil has multiple area-of-effect (AOE) abilities, one of which cannot be avoided, that apply a stacking debuff called "Frozen" to all affected players. The debuff causes ice to form on the players' gear, and when it reaches 4 stacks, the player is afflicted with "Deep Freeze" for a brief period of time. Additionally, Wandil periodically summons Frost Bombs that will self-destruct after a certain amount of time or when they are low on health. It is important to kill these Frost Bombs to prevent additional damage and more stacks of the debuff. Healers should keep track of their stack count and prioritize healing to prevent the party from being stunned. Wandil's abilities include "Cold Wave," which summons AOE circles beneath each player, and "Snow Drift," which deals unavoidable raid-wide damage. Both abilities inflict a stack of the "Frozen" debuff, but players can negate the debuff from "Snow Drift" by continuously moving. Furthermore, the Frost Bomb adds that are summoned throughout the encounter can cast "Hypothermal Combustion," an arena-wide AOE that also inflicts a stack of the "Frozen" debuff.

Yeti

Abilities of the Yeti include Buffet, which is a frontal cone area of effect (AoE), Northerlies that summons six untargetable snowballs with point blank AoE, Updrift that launches players into the air and deals damage, Spin that has a point blank AoE followed by a donut AoE, and Frozen Spike which is a player-targeted AoE. The Yeti's Buffet ability is a frontal cone AoE, while Northerlies summons snowballs and increases their size and resulting AoE when the Yeti breathes on them. Updrift is cast shortly after Northerlies and launches players into the air, preventing movement. Spin delivers a point blank AoE followed by a donut AoE, and Frozen Spike is a player-targeted AoE.

Fenrir

Fenrir possesses several abilities during the battle. He alternates between casting party-wide attacks, such as Heavensward Roar and Howling Moon/Lunar Cry. Heavensward Roar is a cone attack in front of Fenrir, indicated by no AoE indicator on the ground but a long animation time. To avoid this attack, players should move to Fenrir's sides or rear. Ecliptic Bite is a powerful tank buster that deals very high damage. Thousand Year Storm is an unavoidable party-wide attack that affects all players. Howling Moon involves four icicles dropping in a diamond pattern, with circular AoE indicators appearing beforehand. This attack is immediately followed by Lunar Cry. During Lunar Cry, Fenrir casts a long-duration spell that instantly knocks out any players not hiding behind an icicle. The first time Lunar Cry is cast, players can hide behind any of the four icicles to block the attack. However, after the first Lunar Cry, players must hide behind the icicle that remains blue. The other three icicles will turn pink and shatter. Once Lunar Cry finishes, the icicle behind which players are hiding will explode, freezing nearby players for 10 seconds and applying damage over time. Players should either stand far enough away from the icicle while remaining out of sight or stay near the icicle and be prepared to move quickly after the cast finishes. After Lunar Cry, Fenrir will jump onto the tank, dealing moderate damage with no telegraph.
