Cutting the Cheese

Smileton was to be a paradise for the people of Etheirys, a refuge where every need is met, its inhabitants content and happy for all their days. But what is happiness? In pursuit of an answer, the Loporrits created the Big Cheese, designed to make manifest all they might need and more to fulfill the needs of their passengers-to-be. They were eager to please─perhaps, too eager─and their plans became more fickle, each new idea a betrayal of the last. The Big Cheese now burrows toward the center of the moon, a labyrinth of contradiction left in its wake. If left unchecked, its wanton pursuit of happiness may very well spell the end of the moon.

Bosses

Face

During the boss fight, players will need to be aware of several mechanics. The first one is called "Lines of Fire", where the boss will tether to the face statues outside of the arena. Line AoEs will appear that force players into alignment with one of the statues, and getting hit by any of these will result in the player's death. Once the beams fire, the face the player is in line with will debuff them with a stack of either "Smiley Face" (blue) or "Frowny Face" (red). Players must alternate between the two debuffs throughout the fight to avoid taking heavy damage, being knocked back, and being debuffed with "Down for the Count". If a player accumulates three stacks, they will be knocked out. Another mechanic is called "Off My Lawn", which involves a knockback usually combined with targeted AoE for each player. Players should spread out to avoid overlapping and make positioning more difficult. This mechanic is often combined with "Lines of Fire". "Temper's Flare" is a raid-wide AoE that affects all players. Additionally, the mechanic "Upside Down" will turn the faces on the outside of the arena upside down, causing their colors to switch. Finally, "Heart On Fire IV" is a tankbuster ability that deals heavy damage to the tank.

Frameworker

In this encounter, there are several abilities to watch out for. The first is the Circular Saw, which is a raid-wide AoE attack. Next is the Leap Forward, where the boss jumps in the direction it is facing and drops a massive AoE, so players should move to the opposite wall to avoid it. The Print Workers ability commands two adds to copy the Leap mechanic. The Omnidimensional Onslaught ability involves cone AoEs in both the cardinal and intercardinal directions, and players should move to the safe spot when the first set of AoEs appear. Finally, there is the Steel Beam, which is a tankbuster attack.

Smilemaker: The Big Cheese

During the boss fight with The Big Cheese, there are several abilities to watch out for. The first one is Explosives Distribution, where two explosive tanks are placed on conveyer belts outside of the arena. Arrows will indicate how far the explosives will move. One conveyor will move the explosives to the half of the arena close to the boss, while the other will move them to the half far from the boss. Players should move to a safe zone to avoid getting hit. Another ability is Piercing Missile, which is a tankbuster attack. Dispense Explosives spawns two bombs in different quadrants that will explode if players enter their radius. Explosive Power is an ability that detonates the placed bombs. The boss also has abilities named Right Disassembler and Left Disassembler, which are cleave attacks on the right and left sides respectively. Electric Arc is an ability where players need to stack together. Levelling Missile is a targeted AoE attack that hits each player. Lastly, Violent Discharge is a raid-wide AoE attack.
